I’m Jan Wechsler, a seasoned real estate professional deeply committed to providing exceptional client care. With nearly two decades of experience in real estate and a family legacy rooted in construction and design, I’ve found my passion in guiding clients through one of life’s most significant decisions. Whether I’m working with first-time buyers or seasoned homeowners, I bring expertise, integrity, and a practical approach to ensure a smooth and rewarding experience every step of the way.

Early Life & Background

I grew up in Pennsylvania as the eldest of nine siblings, where I learned the value of hard work and perseverance. My journey eventually led me to earn both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in my home state. In 2001, my husband and I made the exciting decision to relocate to California with our three children, drawn by the opportunity to be closer to extended family.

Education & Career

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from DeSales University and a Master of Education in Special Education from Lehigh University. I spent years teaching middle school special education, where I also served as acting assistant principal and coordinator of the student assistance program. Those experiences sharpened my communication and problem-solving skills, which have been invaluable in my real estate career.

Transition to Real Estate

I became a licensed Realtor® in 2004, blending my passion for helping people with my family’s background in homebuilding. With a husband and son in construction and a daughter in architecture, real estate felt like a natural fit. I’m committed to staying ahead of industry trends and continually improving my knowledge of contracts and processes to provide the best service to my clients.

Giving back to my community in Foresthill is incredibly important to me. I’ve led campaigns like Soles for Souls, raising funds for local nonprofits and schools, and I actively support youth sports, community events, and local charities.

Memorable Client Story

One of my most meaningful experiences was helping two veterans connect through a home sale. The seller had created a beautiful garden retreat, and the buyer’s husband, also a veteran, found peace in that very space. It was a powerful reminder of how much a home can mean to someone.

Personal Life & Interests

Outside of real estate, I love painting, traveling, reading, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with my five grandchildren.
